More drugs are seized in lat­est raids

WEEK­END raids by po­lice in Brix­ham have brought the street value of drugs seized in the lat­est drive against il­le­gal nar­cotics in the town to £293,000.

Two more ad­dresses were tar­geted over the week­end in the long-run­ning Op­er­a­tion Olympic, which has also reached out into Paignton, with doors be­ing smashed in.

Of­fi­cers said the oc­cu­pants of the two Brix­ham ad­dresses, al­leged to have been as­so­ci­ated with con­trolled drugs ac­tiv­ity and anti-so­cial be­hav­iour, had been evicted.

A to­tal of 92 war­rants have been ex­e­cuted and ad­dresses searched un­der Op­er­a­tion Olympic so far, and there have been 71 ar­rests.

Drugs seized in­clude heroin, co­caine, crack co­caine, cannabis, am­phet­a­mine and ec­stasy.
