The 31-year-old, who moved to Devon from Estonia 10 years ago, had been badly affected by the deaths of her mother and brother, the hearing in Torquay was told. She had been suffering from ‘low mood’ according to her GP, and was on medication for depression and anxiety.

Police started a search after her concerned partner reported her missing on June 11. They searched the house and garden, then went to nearby Bakers Park, where the couple walked their dogs. Miss Ostrov was later found hanged in the loft of the house, having taken a step ladder up through the loft hatch with her.

Detective Sergeant Andy Penhaligon said he was satisfied there were no suspicious circumstances.

Torbay and South Devon Coroner Ian Arrow concluded: “Sadly, she was particularly low. I come to the conclusion she has taken her own life.”
