Hidden theatres are in the spotlight

SOME of Torbay’s hidden theatre venues will be in the spotlight over the next few days as Doorstep Arts launches an autumn festival.

It offers an opportunity to experience new work from touring artists, emerging theatre makers and local young people. In Ground Control at the St Boniface Hall on Saturday at 11am and 3pm children aged from seven to 12 take part in a science-fiction epic. Rendezvous in Bratislava, at the Lucky 7 Club in Dendy Road on Saturday at 2pm and 7.30pm, features original music and a live band of Slovaks, while Live Before You Die at the Edge in Brixham on Sunday at 4pm deals with a bipolar performance artist, and a man who communicates in insults.
