Money on agenda for new course

-

A POPULAR course aimed at helping people cope with the effects of austerity is being run in Torbay.

Christians Against Poverty in Torbay is supported by six churches who are working together to alleviate poverty in the bay and help people manage their money.

The CAP money course offers free sessions to help people in Torbay get on top of their household finances.

CAP money coach Cathy Davis, who will be leading the sessions, said: “If you know how to save and budget effectively, it can have a hugely positive impact on the whole family.

“With households feeling the squeeze on their disposable income, we’ve all got to get a bit more savvy about our money to get through these tough times.

“We hope that we can help people, quietly and confidentially, take the guesswork out of their situation so they can plan for the future, sort out any problems early and come through unscathed.”

The next course takes place in the Lymington Room of Upton Vale Baptist Church at 7pm on November 1 and continues the following two Thursdays.
