Festive fun at bay events

THE festive lights went on in Newton Abbot on Saturday, and not even a day of pouring rain could dampen the enthusiasm of the town’s early Christmas revellers.

There was entertainment in the streets, Father Christmas and fireworks as the town got into the festive spirit.

Umbrellas were up during the procession, but the switch on of the Christmas lights and firework finale from St Leonard’s Clock Tower went like clockwork.
