Hull & Barnsley coach appeal

THE Hull & Barnsley Railway Stock Fund (HBRSF) is asking for donations to aid its 1909-built six-compartment corridor lavatory brake third

No. 58. As previously reported, the bogie carriage is currently under restoration at Hull College.

Fund spokesman Peter Cox said: “We will soon be at the stage where the carriage compartments will need to be rebuilt and needless to say, it doesn’t come cheap.

“The good news is an anonymous benefactor has offered to match-fund pound for pound any donations raised up to £5000. This will help the HBRSF to achieve its goal of restoring this remarkable Edwardian carriage back to its former glory.”
