Stainmore better equipped

THE Stainmore Railway Company’s plans to develop its own engineering facilities at Kirkby Stephen East have taken a big step forward with the acquisition of a Colchester Master 6½in centre lathe and a Town radial arm drilling machine.

Refurbishment of the lathe has been underway, including the purchase of a new four-pole three phase motor which will be fitted in due course.
