Midland Railway Class 4P No. 1000 caught the eye in a Mitchells of Cumbria vintage toys and railway magazines online timed auction that ended on February 14, when an early 20th century gauge 1 model of the 4-4-0 made by Bing of Germany for Bassett-Lowke sold for £1200 (excluding buyer’s premium of 22% + VAT).
