Next generation carries Middleton Press baton
MIDDLETON Press will survive the sad passing of its owner Vic Mitchell (as reported last issue), and will continue to evolve and complete the Ultimate Rail Encyclopedia in his memory.
The company will now be run by Vic’s daughter, Deborah Esher, her husband Ray and production editor Cassandras Morgan.
A statement from the company said Deborah acknowledged that they face an enormous task and are hugely thankful for the invaluable input from Middleton Press’s band of existing authors and contributors, as without them and her father’s vast historical and technical knowledge, they “have an almost impossible challenge on their hands”.
She has invited local railway historians and anyone with material/photographs on areas not already covered (mainly northern England and west Scotland and the Highlands) to get in touch at info@middletonpress.co.uk
