From Scotland to Skegness in poster sale

LNER posters issued in 1930 promoting Scotland and Skegness will feature in a vintage poster auction being held by Onslows on November 26. The former, titled ‘East Coast Route to Scotland,' was the work of Frank Mason (1875-1965), depicts an A3 Pacific on ‘The Flying Scotsman', and is estimated at up to £6000.

The Skegness poster, which carries a top estimate of £2000, was the work of John Hassall (18681948) and shows the iconic ‘Jolly Fisherman' skipping along the beach under the title ‘Skegness is so bracing.' The auction is live online and starts at 1pm.
