Events to mark Bala’s golden anniversary

THE Bala Lake Railway is to hold a series of special events to mark its half centenary.

Bala At 50 is being run over the April 30-May 2 bank holiday weekend, and a 50th anniversary event will take place on August 13 to commemorate the running of the heritage line’s first trains.

August 27-29 will see the 50th anniversary steam gala.

On September 24/25, the Great Little Trains Model Show will be held at the main school in Bala and will feature layouts and trade stands from all over the UK and Ireland.
