George back at Mid-Norfolk
Mid-Norfolk Railway Preservation Trust general manager George Saville is back at work after seven months of treatment for a heart problem.
George said: “Due to a serious health condition that resulted in a stay in Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, I was diagnosed with a heart condition. Thanks to the truly excellent work of the cardiac team I have made a tremendous recovery and I am now looking forward to returning to work where I will once again be able to carry out my duties as general manager.
“I am very aware that the railway has continued to face a challenging time and will therefore be concentrating my efforts on working with the rest of the railway’s staff to fully reopen the line for the enjoyment of all.
“I would just like to thank the railway’s deputy general manager Steph Garthwaite for all of the outstanding work she has done around her full-time job while I have been ill.”
