The Radio 2 health expert gives her top tips
We had a fabulous time recently at the GO Organic Festival in London. Speakers included Jonathan Dimbleby and Melissa Hemsley and I was pleased to announce the winners of the Janey Loves Platinum Awards at the event. It’s super exciting to have so many high quality entries, including several companies from Herts.
Among the winners in the skincare and beauty category we had some wonderful old favourites, such as Dr Bronner, Incognito, Weleda and Green People. Their products are easily found in health shops across the county.
In the mother and baby category there was a win for the lovely handmade eco clothing made by Ali Ribchester (pictured) of Tutti Frutti in Letchworth (tuttifrutticlothing. com), while Lisa Pearson, aka The Mummy Whisperer (mummywhispererblog.com) from St Albans, also received an accolade.
We had a category for authors and for therapists, and coaches too, so congrats to Herts-based Jo Soley ( josoley.com), known as Your Business Angel (showing you can be business-like and also authentic!)and Melanie Bundock who is an Emotional Freedom Technique practitioner based in St Albans (melaniebundock.net).
We gave awards to K9 Organics (k9organics.co.uk) in the pet care category, and in the home and garden category we gave an award to the brilliant eco cleaning products from NU-ECO (nu-eco.co.uk). When I give talks on natural living I’m often asked ‘How do I clean the loo naturally?’ There’s no excuse now!
