De­scribe your menu Gig­gling Squid cus­tomers will be treated to a lunchtime Thai tapas menu and a sep­a­rate din­ner menu both fea­tur­ing a var­ied se­lec­tion of seafood, meat, curry, noo­dles and stir fry op­tions.

Where are the in­gre­di­ents sourced from?

We im­port fresh Thai herbs and veg­eta­bles di­rectly from Thai­land, how­ever we do make use of the abun­dance of British pro­duce from meat, fish, fruit and veg­eta­bles when in sea­son too.

What’s the restau­rant ethos?

The restau­rant ethos has al­ways been serv­ing authen­tic, rus­tic and fresh Thai cook­ing with the em­pha­sis on street food and coastal spe­cial­i­ties.

What can cus­tomers ex­pect of a visit?

A re­laxed yet stylish and spa­cious set­ting with a sub­tle Thai dé­cor. From lunchtime tapas to de­li­cious cur­ries, sal­ads, rice and noo­dles, Bishop’s Stort­ford cus­tomers are in­vited to ex­pe­ri­ence its rich ta­pes­try of freshly pre­pared dishes pre­pared on-site by team of tal­ented Thai chefs. A ded­i­cated ‘lit­tle tapas for lit­tle peo­ple’ menu is also avail­able and guar­an­teed to en­sure smiles all round.

How are you dif­fer­ent?

Pra­nee Lau­ril­lard, owner of Gig­gling Squid was keen to cre­ate the ul­ti­mate Thai ex­pe­ri­ence. Along­side the tra­di­tional shar­ing food cul­ture of Thai­land, it was also im­por­tant too for her to fo­cus on beau­ti­ful dé­cor, some­where where cus­tomers will en­joy the sur­round­ings as well as the food. This com­bi­na­tion has been the epit­ome of what makes Gig­gling Squid dif­fer­ent to oth­ers.

Do you cater for large/spe­cial events?

Yes – few of our sites like Mar­low and Harpen­den have their own pri­vate din­ing room area that pro­vides the ul­ti­mate choice for a fam­ily gath­er­ing or party cel­e­bra­tion.

Any­thing else you would like to high­light to our read­ers?

We are de­lighted that we’ll be clos­ing the year with an ex­cit­ing launch in the beau­ti­ful town of Bishop’s Stort­ford. We’re ex­cited to be mak­ing our mark and add to the vi­brancy of the com­mu­nity.
