FOX & CROCKERS WIN MICHELIN AWARDS
Two Herts restaurants are entering the new year in celebratory mood after landing top accolades. The Fox and Hounds at Hunsdon and Crockers Chef’s Table at Tring (above) are among winners in the Michelin 2019 awards line-up.
Run by chef James Rix, the Fox and Hounds for the seventh year has been awarded a Bib Gourmand, highlighting restaurants that serve ‘high-quality food at a reasonable price’. It is the only one in the county to hold the award.
Crockers, founded by chef Luke Garnsworthy and featuring menus created by head chef Scott Barnard that change every month, has been awarded a Michelin Plate, which highlights ‘good cooking, fresh ingredients, capably prepared: simply a good meal’.
The Fox and Hounds was also runnerup in the Observer Food Monthly 2018 awards category for best Sunday lunch.
