Company to offer companionship

A WOMAN has set up a new company that provides companionship for older people to allow them to continue living in their homes.

Nisha Chandarana opened Home Instead Senior Care which will serve areas across West Leicestershire and Market Bosworth.

The service is tailored to the needs of each client, and includes companionships, day-to-day housework, shopping, meal preparation, assistance with dressing, bathing, eating and medications, and household duties. Visits vary from one hour to 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Nisha said: “My mother was my rock and my soul mate. In her old age, she suffered a multitude of health problems and as a family, we pulled together to support her. But we still need additional help and when looking for extra care and support for her, I found that there was a lack of good quality care.

“I am really proud of what we do here at Home Instead. I wanted to be able to help and support older people and to give their families peace of mind and that is just what I am doing.

“We don’t do short duration calls, they are a minimum of one hour, at a set time with the same caregiver. This is because we wanted to care and to build long and trusting relationships.

“Home Instead match their clients to their caregiver on mutual interests and they are keen to talk to kind, compassionate and like-minded individuals who may be interested in joining their team.”
