Landlords and tenants should look for a SAFEagent

-

ESTATE agency Connells in Hinckley is pleased to announce its participation in SAFEagent Awareness Week, running until June 10.

The campaign, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary since its launch in 2011, aims to raise awareness of the need to ensure that when letting or renting, landlords and tenants always use an agent who is part of a Client Money Protection (CMP) scheme.

Tracey Pallett, lettings manager at Connells, said: “We are delighted to take part in this initiative once again this year and would like to stress the importance of choosing a safe, insured agent whether you are letting or renting.

“We feel that it is our duty to ensure our customers are fully informed and aware of the risks involved in renting through an uninsured agent.

“When using our lettings services, landlords and tenants can rest assured that their most important assets are safe and protected.

“If you are a landlord or tenant looking to let or rent a property, be sure to look for an agency like us that shows the SAFEagent logo.

”This highlights our commitment to providing a safe and high standard of service and the importance we place on protecting your money.”

SAFEagent is backed by industry and consumer organisations such as the Citizens Advice Bureaux, The Property Ombudsman and the Trading Standards Institute.

The Government has also given its support to SAFEagent Awareness Week since its launch in 2011.

Connells offers a range of lettings services and advice, from matching tenants to their ideal properties to full property management, rent collection and insurance advice.

If you have property to let, are looking for a rental home, or would like to find out how this scheme benefits both landlords and tenants, contact the lettings team on Hinckley 614448 or email tracey.pallett@ connells.co.uk
