Opportunity to share a stage with Sam Bailey

OPEN auditions are being held to find youngsters in the area to perform alongside X-Factor winner Sam Bailey at De Montfort Hall.

Those attending will be vying for a chance to be in this year’s pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk.

The successful performers will make up the junior chorus, and will also perform alongside Britain’s Got Talent finalist Jon Clegg, who play Simple Simon, and BBC Radio Leicester’s Martin Ballard, who plays Dame Trot.

Steve Boden, from Imagine Theatre, which produces the show, said: “For any youngster who is thinking of going in to the entertainment business it is a great chance to work on a professional production and get a feel for exactly what it is like.

“Live theatre is a lot of hard work, but great fun as well.”

Auditions will take place on Sunday July 3, and auditionees must be aged between nine and 16. Young people who want to attend need to download an application form from the Jack and the Beanstalk page on www. demontforthall.co.uk and bring it with them on audition day.

The show runs from Saturday December 10 2015 to Tuesday January 3 2016, and tickets cost £13 for adults, £9.50 for children and £35 for a family of four.
