POLICE are re-appealing for information after burglars broke into three separate businesses in the space of six hours.

Thieves broke into The Bounty pub in Market Place, KH Hair in Station Road, and a Shop Local store on Thornycroft Road between 1.15am and 7am on May 27.

A large sum of cash and tobacco products were stolen from the Hinckley firms.

Leicestershire Police released CCTV photographs of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the break-ins.

George Denny, owner of The Bounty, said two men smashed a bandit machine and a pool table, stealing between £500 to £600.

On the day after the break-in, he said: “They smashed the pool tables to get access to the coins and they also spent a long time forcing their way into an empty safe.

“They took loose change basically, but it ended up about £500 to £600.

“We have 37 cameras in the pub and we have very clear CCTV footage of what happened. This has all been handed to the police.”

He also offered a £500 reward to anyone who helped identify the crooks.

The pub installed cages on its upstairs windows to tighten security.

CCTV footage from the pub shows two white men looking directly into the cameras - one man is wearing a black balaclava and the other is half covering his face with a jacket.

In a separate incident, crooks ransacked KH Hair, but nothing was stolen.

Meanwhile, a convenience store on Thornycroft Road was burgled between 3.15am and 4.30am.

Thieves stole cash and cigarettes from the Shop Local store.

A police spokesman said: “Officers investigating three burglaries in Hinckley town centre would like to speak to two men who may be able to assist with their enquiries.

“Between 1.15am and 7am on Friday 27 May, premises on Market Place, Station Road and Thornycroft Road were burgled and a large quantity of tobacco products and cash were taken.

“Police are releasing the images of two men in the hope that they will come forward and help with the investigation or someone may know who they are and contact us.

“If you can help, call Detective Constable 4121 Natasha Batstone on 101, quoting reference number 16000133403”.
