PREMIER Division clubs were back in FA Sunday Premier action and pride of place goes to FC Topps who entertaine­d Wrighty’s XI in the Cup and ran out 7-2 winners with goals from Kyle Newall (2), an Alex Coultas special from in his own half, Pele Orton, Jack Crowfoot, Scott Smith and Adam McNally in a game against very sporting opponents.

In the Shield, Market Bosworth 2000 travelled to AFC Sporting Charnwood and went down to two second half goals. Enderby Social also travelled to Sparta Mosdock with the bare bones of a team and despite parking the bus, were on the wrong end of a 5-0 scoreline.

In the Bond Street Trophies Premier Division the top two met and Sporting Dynamo had the better of the first half leading 3-0 at the break through a header from Richard Lewis, a deft chip from Chris Acott and Sam Hankin. A far more even second half saw Richard Lewis add his second to win the game 4-0. Duke of Rutland haven’t had the best of starts to the season but they found form as they overcame a spirited Tin Hat 2015. Two up at the break they ended up 4-0 winners through goals from Liam Brody (2), Cannor Pugh and man of the match Lee Lovett.

Dunton & Broughton and Ullesthorp­e shared a 1-1 draw in the Hardy and Draper Carpets Division One, Ryan Voce scoring in the first half for Dunton. Sporting Dynamo Reserves maintained their start to the season with an 8-2 win against Athletico Green. Jimmy Chandler (3), Will Pickering (2) Danny McGurk and Scott Cockeram scoring for Sporting with Kelvin Etheridge and Wayne Davies for Athletico. A goal down at the break, Thurlaston Magpies equalised early in the second half through Danny King before Three Horseshoes put the foot on the gas and ended up 8-1 winners. FC Bulls Head are still unbeaten but FC Topps Reserves pushed them all the way before going down 4-3. A Ryan Brightwell penalty and a hat-trick from star man Simeon Davis gave Bulls Head the points.

One of the PWS (Leicester) Ltd Division Two form teams are Wykin FC and they had Josh Cheshire to thank for their 1-0 half-time lead against LK United. United hit back to level through an own goal before Kevin Lake and Lloyd Henry ensured the points for Wykin from a 3-1 win. Coalville Miners returned to winning ways trumphing 7-2 at MP Steel. Kurtis Lole (3), Daniel Edwards (2), Jack Simpson and Jack Kilby were their scorers with Corey Simons and Daniel Toone for MP Steel. Lewis Smith and Adam Smyth gave Newstock Rangers a narrow 2-1 half-time lead against EST Lord Nelson but they hit form in the second half with further goals from Smith, Andy Hoult (2), Jack Kyte (3) and Dean Smith to end up 9-2 winners. Anchor Inn gave leaders Plough Inn a run for their money. Tom Stokes guided in a far post effort before Tom Weaver gave Plough a 2-0 lead. Anchor never gave in and deserved a last minute 30 yard free-kick from Mark Healey. Anchor keeper Danny Brightmore remains unbeaten from the spot after a Charles Butler penalty rebounded off a post.

The Printing Works Division Three bottom club Totes Hilar got up and running beating Newstock Reserves 3-2. Goals from Mitch Clamp and Josh Sugg (2) for Totes with Thomas and Merry replying. AFC Barn were down 5-0 at half-time against Holywell courtesy of a Billy Saunders header, two goals from Chris Barber and two tricklers from Joe Brooks. Barn responded and reduced the deficit thanks to a brace from Damien Haswell. Weavers Arms won their game at Stanton OB through a 30 yard screamer into the top corner from Stephen Heard. Red Lion missed a penalty at Stoke Golding Reserves and were made to pay as Matt Tweddle (4), David Ciarkowski (3), Tom Moore, Sean Ward and Maisen Greaves gave the hosts a 10-0 win. Barlestone Athletic lost 4-0 at Stoneycrof­t United.
