Village travel agency is one of region’s best
A TRAVEL AGENCY in Burbage has been named one of the best in the region.
Inspired Travel has been listed as one of the top five agencies in Central England, as part of a national assessment by the Travel Trade Gazette (TTG).
It is now on a shortlist of 90 - whittled down from more than 950 contenders - to compete for a place on the TTG list of top 50 UK agencies for 2017.
Winners of the competition, run in association with travel company Kuoni, will be announced at a ceremony in Birmingham on March 13.
TTG editor Pippa Jacks said: “We were overwhelmed to have 950 branches and companies put themselves forward to be considered for the list this year, and any that have made the shortlist should be extremely proud.”
Inspired Travel managing director Kate Harris said: “I am so proud of our little team.
“It’s an achievement just to be shortlisted from over 950 entrants many of whom are much bigger agents than ourselves. “We are thrilled.” The shortlist was drawn up by a panel of 60 travel suppliers including airlines, tour operators and car hire providers, who rated agencies according to their business performance, customer service and innovation.
In the next stage of judging, a TTG journalist will visit each shortlisted agency to carry out an assessment.
