College joins skills register
HINCKLEY’S further education college has been named an official location for apprenticeship training.
Under new reforms starting in April all institutions offering apprenticeships must be on a register.
North Warwickshire and Hinckley College, which runs the Lower Bond Street campus has received confirmation it has been accepted onto the roll.
The aim of the register is to give employers a level of assurance that the providers they are using have the capacity and capability to delivery good quality apprenticeship training.
Debbie Scotton, business development manager at the college, said: “This is fantastic news for us as a training provider. As an approved training provider, we already have over 500 employer partners and train around 1,800 apprentices across seven main sector areas. We are working closely with employers to ensure a smooth transition from frameworks and to support them through the changes to funding.”
