All go at Market Bosworth’s village library

-

VOLUNTEERS behind a village library are thanking patrons after a series of successful events.

Over the last few weeks Market Bosworth Community Library has been a hive of activity with a table top sale, a reading from village author Andrew Baylis and the launch of a new group for families with tiny tots.

The Story and Rhyme Time session started in May and will be repeated each first Friday of the month at 10.30am.

Aimed at mums, dads and guardians with children from newborns to five-year olds the one hour interlude features fun, interactive songs and stories with refreshments available.

The library has baby change facilities and is breastfeeding friendly. The next event will be on Friday June 2.

Villagers and visitors are reminded as well as providing books both in print and on audio formats people can use the computers and access such sites as Ancestry.com, Find My Past and Which for free.

Books, CDs, DVDs, cards and stamps are available for sale and tickets for the Market Bosworth Festival events can be purchased.

Other groups continue throughout the summer, such as ‘knitters natter’ on Wednesdays while the bridge lessons are taking a break but will resume in September. The library even has a small Richard III exhibition.

Check out the library’s website for more details.
