STUDENT pals who launched their own media and design business while still at college in Hinckley have branched out into online retail.

After graduating North Warwickshire and Hinckley College Alex Russell, 23, from Earl Shilton, and Elliott Wynd-Jennings, 22, from Hinckley, formed Brio, their own graphic design company.

In their first three years the pair have worked with businesses, local authorities, education and sporting organisations, producing striking marketing and publicity materials.

Now from their own design studio in Hinckley the Brio Boys are running a digital print shop offering a selection of stylish pictures, perfect for home or office.

The venture comes hard on the heels of the Brio website launch and the duo being announced as one of Dragon’s Den star Theo Paphitis’s small business Sunday winners competition on Twitter.

Co-founder, Elliott said “When we launched Brio back in 2014, we wanted to create design that was engaging, innovative and fun for our clients. But we don’t just want our clients to enjoy our design anymore we want the world to love what we create.”

Brio Store initially launched on early last month and includes individually designed prints following themes such as, space, the future, robots and life itself.

Customers currently have 10 prints to choose from but the design duo hope to add many others as well as new product lines within the next few months.

All of their designs are created in-studio and then printed on high-quality, heavyweight matte card using water resistant pigment based inks, finished, rolled in paper and packed carefully in tubes before being posted out to their customers.

Alex said: “The quality of our products is very important to us from the paper to the ink, we believe artwork deserves to be respected whether it be a Van Gogh or a graphic print.”

To celebrate the launch of their new store the pair are offering the chance for one lucky winner to receive a free framed print of their choice.

The competition can be entered via any of Brio’s social media channels and closes on Thursday May 25. Full terms and conditions and more information on the firm and its work can be found on the website.
