Summer workshops being held in town
BUDDING child stars are invited to attend a series of summer workshops run by a talented Hinckley actor.
Zach Morris, 26, is working with a series of performers to host a West End themed workshop at the Concordia Theatre for young dancers and singers over the summer.
Zach, who recently starred in The Rocky Horror Show, later this year runs The Leading Edge Project (LEAP), an international musical workshop for wannabe performers, with classes in New York and London.
The Hinckley week-long masterclass will take place from Monday August 14 and will run with the theme ‘The Spark of Creation’, and will give youngsters the chance to enjoy and perform show-stopping musical numbers, acting pieces and choreography.
Former Hinckley Speech and Drama Studio student Zach said he will be running the workshop with help from Rebecca Brewer, a member of The Royal Shakespeare Company.
He added: “LEAP is a new initiative to create a safe space for the younger generation to dare, dream and create.
“There should aways be a space for children to experi- ence acceptance, unity, and authenticity without judgment. Led by our team of the industries Leading Edge Creatives - from West End performers to visual artists - we inspire confidence, joy and growth through life changing creative workshops.
“This is such an exciting opportunity for kids in Leicestershire to experience working with West End professionals.”
The classes will run Monday to Friday from 10am until 3.30pm.
The cost of the workshop will be £159.00 with sibling discounts available, and a 10 per cent discount for Concordia Theatre members.
