13 medals won by town club
HINCKLEY Trampoline Club had 17 of their trampolinists take part in the National Development Regional qualifiers competition in Loughborough.
They had a very successful day winning 13 medals overall; two gold, three silver, four bronze and four team gold medals.
Three members made it through to the Regional Team championships competition, which is a national competition, being held at the Barclaycard arena in June.
The top eight from each group in this competition will qualify for the National Finals which will take place at the Motorpoint Arena (Nottingham) in July.
Another two members are reserves for the same competition. This also means that the club has five members who have qualified to be in the East Midlands regional squad.
In the Club Development One, 9-12 years category, Mia Hawkins came second, Isla Anderson fourth, Isabella fifth and Niamh Bourne sixth.
These four also got gold in the team competition.
In Club Development Two, 11-12 years, Sienna Mansfield came third.
In the Club Development Three, 11-12 years, Berri Kirk came fourth.
In the Club development Three 13+ category, Megg Kirk came third.
In NDP One, 11-12 Girls competition, Evie Mellor came seventh and Morgan came fourth.
Morgan is now part of the East Midlands squad, and a reserve for the Regional Team Championships competition.
In the NDP One, 13+ Girls event, Georgia Wren came seventh and Ellie Burdett second.
Ellie is now part of the East Midlands Regional squad and she has qualified to compete in the Regional Team Championships competition.
In Ndp One, 13+ Boys, Reece Mansfield came second and Dan Orton third.
Unfortunately Reece missed out from qualifying for the next round by 0.15 points.
In NDP Two, 11-12 Girls, Tia Robinson came second and is now part of the East Midlands Regional squad and she has qualified to compete in the Regional Team Championships competition.
In Ndp Two, 13+ Girls, Beccy Dean came third and is now part of the East Midlands squad, and a reserve for the Regional Team Championships competition.
In the NDP Four, 13+ Girls competi- tion, Kate Weston came seventh and Amy Dronfield first so she became Regional Champion in this category.
Amy is also part of the East Midlands Regional squad and has qualified to compete in the Regional Team Championships competition.
Members of Hinckley Trampoline Club are currently fundraising and looking for possible sponsorships for new equipment and training/competition wear.
