Town club launches annual shirt draw contest

-

HINCKLEY’S Leicester Road FC are now reserving places in their shirt draw for the 2018/19 season, whereby for just £495 plus VAT the lucky winner will have their business name and logo on the first team’s shirts.

What’s more, they’ll also win two season tickets, a pitch side advertising board, plus prematch meal hospitality for four people at a home game of their choice.

Even if you don’t win this main prize package you’ll be guaranteed two season tickets plus a pitch side board for the season - and with the board worth £350 and two season tickets costing £180, you’ll even be in credit!

This season, all those entering the shirt draw also get the opportunity to have a full page advert in the match day programme for every home match – at the much reduced rate of £250 plus VAT (usually £400 plus VAT). That’s for some 30 games, plus you can change your advert at any time for no additional cost.

LRFC commercial director, Paul Moss, explains: “It’s a unique deal and, quite literally, means you can have the shirt off our back. To pay for the shirt sponsorship outright would cost in the region of £20,000, so at LRFC we do it this way to make it much more rewarding for lots more businesses.

“Everyone’s a winner because apart from the main shirt prize package, or a pitch side board and two season tickets as a minimum, there are other great prizes up for grabs in the draw too - like your company name on the first team shorts, a meal for four prior to your choice of home game in the season, an away day with the directors, plus a bottle of champagne.”

Season 2017/18 winner and beneficiary, Andy Armstrong of Armstrong Electrical & Security based on Mill Street in Barwell, says: “It’s been great for our expanding business, with lots of enquiries, leads and referrals directly being influenced by the LRFC shirt visibility. Brand awareness is definitely on the up and it has certainly helped us establish our new Security Division as well. Leicester Road FC is a club on the rise, with a fantastic stadium and their youth development is very strong too. As a local concern I’ve been proud to be part of it of it - and I can personally recommend other businesses following suit and get involved.”

The shirt draw takes place on Tuesday July 24, from 7pm, at LRFC’s stadium in Hinckley, potentially in the exciting new club house which is nearing completion, but will definitely be fully functional for the new season.

To secure your place in the draw contact Paul Moss on 07966 387243 or email paul. moss@lr-fc.co.uk. Last year 35 businesses took part, but for 2018/19 season the club is aiming for 45-50.

A spokesperson said: “There’s never been a better time to sponsor (or support) Leicester Road FC and those who have not attended a match before will be pleasantly surprised at the level of football played in Midlands Football League 1 - enhanced by the setup of the stadium which is the second biggest and best in Leicestershire after the King Power Stadium of Leicester City FC.

“It’s a great place to come and watch football and a proper sporting experience, plus LRFC play matches across Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Staffordshire, plus Birmingham and the Black Country for widespread exposure.”
