Op­er­a­tions man­ager for char­ity

THE Mid­lands Air Am­bu­lance Char­ity has ap­pointed a new air op­er­a­tions man­ager.

Ian Roberts has more than 35 years of ex­pe­ri­ence in the am­bu­lance ser­vice, and a wealth of knowl­edge that he prom­ises bring to the chal­leng­ing role.

He be­gan work­ing for Mid­lands Air Am­bu­lance Char­ity in 2003, as an air­crew para­medic based at Stren­sham air­base.

Ian also won the cov­eted Clin­i­cian of the Year award at the Mid­lands Air Am­bu­lance Char­ity’s Recog­ni­tion Awards and Char­ity Ball in June.

Ian Roberts, the new air op­er­a­tions man­ager for Mid­lands Air Am­bu­lance Char­ity, said: “I was in­cred­i­bly proud to make it through the in­ter­view process and achieve the role of per­ma­nent air op­er­a­tions man­ager for Mid­lands Air Am­bu­lance Char­ity.

“I’m look­ing for­ward to ad­vanc­ing the clin­i­cal and op­er­a­tional work of the char­ity, in line with our strate­gic ob­jec­tive to work at the height of clin­i­cal and op­er­a­tional ex­cel­lence.”

Hanna Se­bright, chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer for Mid­lands Air Am­bu­lance Char­ity, added: “Ian has worked with the char­ity for over 15 years and in that time has demon­strated a breadth of clin­i­cal and op­er­a­tional ex­per­tise.

“Ian’s back­ground and lead­er­ship skills will help our or­gan­i­sa­tion to re­main at the fore­front of emer­gency pre­hos­pi­tal pa­tient care, of­fer­ing the very best treat­ment to pa­tients in crit­i­cal need of an air am­bu­lance.”
