Events at art gallery in town

THE Art Studio, Ten2 Gallery and Art Cafe have a whole host of events lined up for this October.

Kicking off the show will be Andy English and his exhibition of beautiful woodblock prints.

Andy, who is in high demand for his book illustrations, has his work featured in many museums and libraries, including the British Library, The Yale Center for British Art and The Ashmolean Museum.

An exhibition of his sought-after work will be on display from Saturday October 6 at the Ten2 gallery,

Following this will be the first meeting of the new book club.

The cafe is hosting a new session, held for those who cannot make the daytime clubs.

Scheduled at the new time of 7pm, this will allow book lovers the chance to bring along their favourite book, to chat and plan for future meetings.

The first meeting will be held on Monday October 8.

And, the gallery are returning with their popular quiz night.

On Friday October 12, fish and chips, cakes and drink will be provided for participators at the gallery’s popular quiz night. Tickets to attend the event must be booked in advance and are available from the studio and gallery on Castle Street. Tickets cost £15 which includes food, drink and quiz entry.

The quiz will start at 7.30pm.
