Nativity! The Musical is set to rock the stage this November
THE all-important cast list has been confirmed for the upcoming production of Nativity! The Musical, which will be calling at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal for multiple shows from November 21 to November 25.
Based on the 2009 film of the same name, part of the hugely popular Nativity! series, the production tells the story of the Coventry based primary school St Bernadette’s where every student is vying to be a part of the annual Christmas nativity play.
Teacher Mr Maddens has promised the children that a Hollywood producer will be stopping by to turn the show into a blockbuster movie, which means the pressure’s really on to make everything perfect.
West End star Simon Lipkin will be returning to his role as Mr Madden’s assistant Mr Poppy after touring with the production last year, having originally appeared as Chief Elf in Nativity 3: Dude Where’s My Donkey?!
Also joining the festive touring show will be former EastEnders actress Charlie Brooks, who’s best known for her role as Janine Butcher in the BBC One soap.
Brooks will be portraying the Hollywood producer.
The stage show features music from the original movie, including songs such as Sparkle And Shine, Nazareth, One Night One Moment and She’s The Brightest Star, as well as a number of all-new numbers produced just for the stage show.
Nativity! The Musical will have eight performances in Nottingham with matinee and early afternoon shows on November 22, November 24 and November 25.
