Tickets for ice skating

Hinckley Times - - LETTERS -

SKATERS can now start planning their 2018 visits to Leicester’s Christmas ice rink.

Booking has officially opened for the attraction, which had a successful first year in 2017.

Leicester City Council says this year’s Jubilee Square skating will be “even better”, with a 50 per cent bigger rink.

A special smoothing machine will also take to the ice between sessions, to provide visitors an improved skating surface. The rink will join the Wheel of Light at the square on Thursday, December 6.

Leicester City Council’s festivals and events manager Maggie Shutt said: “It might seem early, but we know schools, clubs and corporate clients like to make their plans well in advance.

“This year we’re providing a much bigger ice rink with a much better skating surface, which we hope people of all ages and abilities will enjoy as part of a family outing or a Christmas night out.”

Skating sessions are available to be booked in 45-minute slots.

Tickets can be booked from Visit Leicester on Gallowtree Gate.
