Measures are very confusing

Hinckley Times - - LETTERS -

BREXIT aside, I still find the mixture of imperial and metric weight measures in use by some retailers very confusing when the law I think is quite clear.

The only products you can sell in imperial measures are draught beer/cider, milk in returnable containers (by the pint) and precious metals (by troy ounces). They can display an imperial measurement alongside the metric measurement but it can’t stand out more than the metric measurement.

Some of the supermarkets have added to the confusion, I suspect deliberately, by pricing some fruit and veg by the item with no mention of per lb or per kg.
