Reporter Danielle Easton has put together a round up of some of the festive events this Christmas.

Santa’s chief elf and his team will lead guests through the enchanted forest and the valley of Christmas lights to discover Santa’s hidden woodland grotto.

Youngsters will then have the chance to chat to Santa and depending on how good they have been, receive an early gift from him.

During the visit guests can take a trip on Head Elf’s twinkle toes train through the tunnel of discovery to watch Christmas shows and films and if they are not quite in the Christmas spirit already, visitors will then find the snow cave ready for storytime and activities.

New to 2018, families can also use their Winter Wonderland ticket to access Conkers Discovery.

As part of this, visitors will get to experience Christmas magic in 4D at the Conkers cinema as well as access to the indoor exhibit area, warrens, ranger crafts and over 80 acres of outdoor walks.

No Christmas experience would be complete without Santa’s trusty sidekicks either, so live reindeer will also be on site throughout the day from 11am till 4.30pm.

The event will run from Saturday December 1 to Christmas Eve on Monday December 24.

Winter Wonderland will be open from 10.30am till 8pm and till 5pm on Christmas Eve.
