Jazz music this Friday

DAVE Rance’s Rockin’ Chair Band made their first appearance at the Newbold Verdon Jazz Club recently.

The band, who’s line-up included Dave Rance on trumpet, Richard Leach on trombone and John Percival on the clarinet, played some traditional jazz music alongside amusing jokes and entertainment.

The night was rounded off with some festive mince pies and a raffle while the club prepare for their next event which will see the Savannah Jazz Band make their grand return.

To kick-start the New Year, the band will return on Friday January 4, admission will cost £9 and the doors open from 7pm.
