Round up posted on Facebook page
POLICE in Market Bosworth said they had a “cracking” 2018.
The force posted a round-up for the year on its Facebook page including a montage video of photos showing what they’ve been up to.
It said: “It’s been busy and although you may not have seen us - we’ve been there.
“Remember - we cover a huge geographical area - we estimate about 300 square miles.
“Agricultural premises to the Zoo with everything else in between.”
Text in the video, whose soundtrack was Carl Orff’s O Fortuna, said that the force receives on average 500 calls a month.
This year officers have dealt with including thefts and burglaries, RTCs, cross-borer operations and cannabis factory seizures.
The force said in the post: “We hope you’ve had a great year too.
“As the end of the year approaches - we urge you to:
“Follow the page for regular updates about crime in your area.
“Call 101 or 999 in an emergency.
“Call CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. “Here’s to 2019. “We thank you for your support.”
