Strong fightback not quite enough

IN the first game since the Christmas break, Hinckley B team hosted JLR. The first quarter caught Hinckley by some surprise and before they knew it the quarter ended with JLR leading 11-4.

During the quarter time break Hinckley B made a couple of positional changes and regrouped. The second quarter started much more positively and Hinckley B came out fighting to close the gap. Better communication, steady play up court and confident shooting saw Hinckley close in on JLR, who were unable to hold back the attacking streaks from the Hinckley side. At half time there were now just 2 goals dividing the teams.

The second half continued in an end to end fashion with very little separating the teams.

Unfortunately Hinckley couldn’t do enough to steal the lead back and the game finished 38-36 to JLR.
