A WOMAN killed in a crash on Monday last week was a talented make-up artist.

The family of 19-year-old Leah Ryan, pictured, have paid tributes to a “beautiful, vibrant and talented” daughter and sister.

Leah died when her car was involved in a collision with a van in Stoney Stanton, just after midday on Monday.

Leah, from Dosthill, near Tamworth, was a make-up artist with thousands of followers on social media.

Mum Sharon said: “Leah was the most beautiful, vibrant, talented girl you could wish to meet.

“She was so pleasant to everyone. Just so bubbly and liked by all. She lived for make-up.

“She had a YouTube account where she demonstrated how to create make-up looks and also Instagram where she attracted attention by wellknown brands which sent her free make-up to demonstrate as she was really gathering followers. It was something everyone knew her for, she was that good.

“She was quite a homely girl and had a lovely group of friends. A genuinely good-natured, caring girl, who always looked after others even out of her friendship group. We are all devastated and heartbroken.”

Leah is survived by her partner, sisters Ashlea and Emily, aged 24 and 17, brother Joshua, aged 21, mum Sharon and dad Jonathan.

Ashlea has created a GoFundMe page raising money towards the cost of the funeral, which has so far raised more than £7,500.

Ashlea said: “We are devastated, in total shock, heartbroken. We don’t know what else we can do, other than ensure she has the perfect send off.

“She had so many things she wanted to do with her life. She was on track to become a manager at Aldi, she had met the love of her life, she wanted kids and a house with him. It absolutely shatters me to my core, thinking that this is all over.”

The collision happened at 12.05pm on January 7 in Station Road between Stoney Stanton and Elmesthorpe. It involved a blue Fiat 500 and a white Citreon Nemo panel van.

The driver of the van was taken to hospital with what police said were “non-life-threatening” injuries.

Detective Constable Beth Pick said: “We’d like to speak to anyone who was in the area and assisted at the scene.”
