French cafe in town listed in top seven places in county
A Hinckley-based cafe whose menu focuses on authentic, homemade French food has been listed as one of the top seven restaurants in Leicestershire.
Petite Chouette has been open for almost a year and is a little cafe influenced by owner Ali Lancaster’s love of owls and her favourite restaurant, Little Owl in New York City.
With a love of French food and culture, Ali and Paul Lancaster opened the cafe - which is focused on eating, around a table, with friends and family - offering a variety of filled croissants, muffins, french omelettes and sweet pastries.
“We are totally overwhelmed by being listed in the top seven restaurants in Leicestershire,” says Ali and Paul.
“When we opened our little cafe bar we never would have believed that in our first 10 months we would have achieved this, along with being shortlisted in the best cafe category in the Great Food Club Award 2018/2019 too!
“Honestly we just can’t believe it. We feel so proud of what we have achieved and totally humbled. We have a great team in our Little Owl and wonderful customers, so a huge thank you to them for supporting us.”
Two further celebrations are also in order across the Borough with the newly renovated Fourwards at Ashfields, Earl Shilton and Ben’s Kitchen at Kirby Muxloe being listed in the top seven too.
Having been taken over by MasterChef semi finalist Stacey Ward and her husband Adam, Fourwards priorities family values while offering a relaxed but quality place to eat.
Ben’s Kitchen was launched three and a half years ago by young chef Ben Knowles, who set out to provide fresh, homemade produce at low prices.
It was originally based at Groby Ex-Servicemen’s Club, but as of September, it’s been based at the more spacious Kirby Muxloe Golf Club.
