A TERRIFYING half-term complete with ghoulish, family-friendly activities is being held at Drayton Manor this month.

The theme park is preparing for a scaring this October and, from Saturday October 19 until Thursday October 31, the Staffordshire-based theme park will be hosting fang-tastic daily activities.

These will include spooky shows from special Halloween Thomas and Friends characters, pumpkin carving and a Halloween Bale Trail.

Stars of Thomas and Friends will be on-hand throughout the Halloween spooktacular to provide entertainment at Knapford Station, as well as ghoulish Meet and Greets. A special Thomas-themed Trick or Treat with the Fat Controller himself will also be taking place at 11am and 1pm daily.

The bravest mini Halloween fans will have to keep their wits about them in the park’s abandoned vicarage, The Haunting, while the Halloween Bale Trail allows families to follow spooky clues around the park to find some scary surprises - ending with a treat.

The park’s hourly zoo talks will also be returning for the More Treat than Trick event, with talks from experienced zookeepers on red pandas, spider monkeys, meerkats and reptiles; including own 13-foot anaconda.

William Bryan, managing director at Drayton Manor Park, said: “Halloween is one of our favourite times of year at Drayton Manor Park, with spooky activities and fang-tastic fun for the whole family.

“This year’s events will be perfect for little Halloween-lovers, so we’re looking forward to welcoming regular and new visitors alike for another wicked More Treat than Trick event!”
