WARWICK Castle is an ideal place to visit this festive season with the addition of a brand new outdoor ice rink.

Set against the spectacula­r backdrop of one of Britain’s best-known castles, you’ll be able to glide onto the Warwick Castle rink through to January 5.

Located in front of the castle’s iconic East Front, visitors of all ages can enjoy skating in one of the most magical historic settings in the Midlands. Plus, it’s open after the castle closes so that skaters can enjoy a magical experience by day or night.

Nick Blofeld from Warwick Castle said: “We’re really excited about the ice rink. It offers a really special skating experience which has been especially designed for the location to ensure our guests see the castle as its best whilst they skate.”

Guests can keep warm with quality, seasonal snacks and drinks from a selection of festive vendors and soak up the festive atmosphere among Christmas trees and twinkling lights.

For the ultimate festive experience guests can opt for Castle & Skate tickets which include a 45-minute ice skating session and full day entry to the castle to enjoy a Winter Birds of Prey show, Horrible Histories Scavenger Hunt, Winter Wedding Princess Tower experience all set within 64 acres of grounds from just £25 per person.

Skate sessions are also available separately from £13 per person.
