Search is on for a charity to support and public can have their say
A LEADING retirement housebuilder has launched a search for a local charity to support in Hinckley, as its new bungalows and Retirement Living Plus development on Coventry Road begins to take shape.
McCarthy and Stone is currently in the process of building the forthcoming development, which will eventually comprise 16 one and two-bedroom bungalows exclusively for the over 60s.
There will also be 57 luxury one and two-bedroom age-exclusive apartments, exclusively designed for people aged 70 and over.
Due for completion in summer 2020, construction is underway, and McCarthy and Stone is looking to pledge its support to a neighbourhood project, charity or one-off event within the Hinckley community.
Local groups and charities are urged to get in touch as soon as possible by emailing requests to mccarthyandstone@mccann.com by December 31. Anyone entering should mark their emails ‘Hinckley Community Appeal’ in the subject header.
Samantha Watkins, regional sales and marketing director for McCarthy and Stone East Midlands, said:
“Our fundamental aim when creating a development is to support and integrate McCarthy and Stone and our future homeowners into the local community.
“Our charity appeal allows us to create those important ties with local groups and neighbourhood projects, helping us all to build a positive legacy together. We encourage any local groups who are interested to get in touch now.”
