Weight-loss group launches for 2020

-

A WOMAN from Hinckley is launching a weight loss group in 2020.

Debbie Hales is creating a free LighterLife Xpress Slimming Club to provide the tools to help people shed the pounds.

The project includes a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) mindfulness programme to help members deal with the emotional issues around food and overeating.

LighterLife Xpress participants lose on average a stone a month without the stress of calorie counting and meal planning, as it includes a low calorie diet.

Conventional food is replaced with nutritious meal alternatives, which include all the elements you need for good health.

Dr Kelly Johnston, head of research and nutrition at LighterLife, said: “By changing your mindset you can reset your attitude to eating, which can help you sustain realistic weight loss in the long term.

“What goes in to your body when you’re losing weight, and after, is really important, which is why LighterLife offers a range of nutritious plans for fast, effective weight loss alongside weekly group support.

“Not only do the groups use CBT and Mindfulness to help you get to the root cause of your emotional eating, you will also receive practical advice on healthy foods, portion sizes, nutritional advice and how to make better choices when eating out.”

There is no joining fee and the club includes weigh-ins.

The club will meet at the St Francis Community Centre every Tuesday at 7pm.
