Football club announces new name as Hinckley LRFC is born

LEICESTER Road Football Club has taken another step forward in its evolution of its short history by rebranding into Hinckley LRFC after the name change was sanctioned by the Football Associatio­n.

At present the club has developmen­t teams for U15, U16 and U18 age groups plus Senior Men and Ladies teams.

A spokespers­on said: “All football is headed up by Neil Lyne, who was our first member of staff when we formed in November 2013.

“The rebranding strategy will be driven by a new marketing approach that also includes a new club logo and new signage around Leicester Road Stadium. The new Events Suite which overlooks the main stadium pitch is also available to hire.”

The senior men’s team has been promoted to the United Counties League Premier South Division and has made a very good start to the season.

The ladies team have been promoted to East Midlands Women’s Football League and are also tipped to do well.

Entrance to senior men’s games is £7 for adults and £6 for Concession­s with accompanie­d children under 16 years of age free.

The spokespers­on continued: “We host match day hospitalit­y before every senior men’s game where you can enjoy a 2 course meal, entrance to the game, match day parking and program and a drink at half time from only £25pp. In addition matchday sponsorshi­p packages are available from only £295 .

“There are a host of other sponsorshi­p packages available at Hinckley LRFC to local businesses who would like to get involved and support the towns premier non-league football club.

“At Hinckley LRFC, the club aims to connect with the local community and get involved with local events.
