Net sessions in full swing for Hinckley Town CC...

HINCKLEY Town Cricket Club are gearing up for the new season with both Junior and Senior cricket indoor practice sessions, now in full swing.

The juniors are enjoying the high quality coaching sessions delivered by the club’s qualified coaching team.

Martin Ray, HTCC player and coach who is leading on the delivery of the junior coaching practice says ‘the nets have started really well and it has been fantastic to see the great enthusiasm and skills from the juniors and support from parents alike.’

The club will again also be delivering in the Spring, the nationally delivered skills based cricket taster programmes Dynamos for 8-11 year olds and the ECB endorsed initiative All Stars Cricket programme for 5-8 year olds.

Juniors of all ages are taking part at the nets and the initial interest and numbers at the practices gave been excellent. Any interested parents and local young people are very welcome to attend the practice sessions that are running every Sunday from 10am until 11.30am at Heath Lane Academy in Earl Shilton.

In addition nets and practice have also commenced for the senior players and run from 11.30am until 12.30 every Sunday at the same venue and the club would be delighted to see more new faces.

Club Captain, Giles Holmes said: “It has been great to see some new faces at the senior nets and the interest that is developing as the club embarks on this exciting phase.”

Again, the club is very keen to welcome new players to the senior club nets/practice drills as they start to progress towards the season kickstarti­ng in April.
