Thanks for supporting our Ukraine fundraisers
A massive and sincere thank you to you, the people of Hinckley and Bosworth, who have generously supported my fundraising for Civilian Relief in Ukraine.
We started in May last year with a Cake & Coffee morning in Hinckley. Then Morrisons allowed us to have handmade crochet sunflower and heart badges available for people to make donations.
Next, another cake sale in Market Bosworth, this time in October, followed by crocheted snowflake Christmas decorations and Easter baskets - again in Morrisons.
Hinckley & Rugby Building Society has also been particularly supportive along with many other local businesses, family and friends.
The money you have raised so far is an amazing £5,959 for the DEC (https://www.dec.org.uk/ukraineone-year-on).
We are having another of our Cake & Coffee mornings coming up on Saturday, April 29 at Hinckley Methodist Church in the town’s Albert Road, from 10am until noon.
You are invited to come and have tea and cake or buy boxed ones to take home for the weekend- they are freezable too, so you can freeze them ready for any Coronation parties you might be having the following weekend.
Enjoy your cakes knowing you have also helped Ukrainian families living in their war-torn country.
There will also be some savoury and sugar free items, a tombola, with instant prizes and Ukraine Ribbon badges.
We don’t have any payment card facilities though, so it is cash only please.
We’d love to see you if you can join us on the 29th, and help us smash the £6,000 target. You’re an amazing community and I know we can do this - thank you so very much for all you do.
