Orchestra pitching in for homeless charity

-

A CLASSICAL concert next month will raise vital funds for a homelessness charity. People are invited to enjoy a night in the company of the renowned Nova Orchestra Classica, which takes centre stage at St Mary’s Church in Hinckley on Saturday, February 3. The concert will raise funds for Hinckley-based homelessness charity Emmaus Leicestershire & Rutland. The orchestra’s repertoire features classical masterpieces, including Mozart’s Violin Concerto No.3, with esteemed soloist Charlotte Moseley, Beethoven’s Coriolan Overture, and his Symphony No. 2, promising a delightful experience, say organisers. Dawn Wright, director of Emmaus Leicestershire & Rutland, said: “We’re extremely grateful to the Nova Orchestra Classica for putting on this special event and are looking forward to a wonderful evening of music. “We hope that local people will come along to show their support. “Every ticket purchase contributes directly to providing essential assistance for those who have faced homelessness.” Emmaus Leicestershire & Rutland provides a home, support, and meaningful work to up to 16 people who have experienced homelessness. Some stay for a while as they gain confidence and skills before they feel ready to move on to independent living. Others require longer-term support and can stay for as long as they need to. The event at the church on Church Walk starts at 7.30pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door for £8 or £5 for concessions.
