Daffodil Sunday returns this April with plenty to enjoy for all

DAFFODIL Sunday is a fantastic outdoor Spring Fair for all the family and the annual event will be held on Sunday 14th April from 11am to 4m in the countrysid­e near Monks Kirby (between Rugby and Lutterwort­h).

Daffodil Sunday is held in the grounds of Newnham Paddox (CV23 0RA), with woodland and lakeside walks amid carpets of daffodils, in grounds designed by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown.

Stalls and activities include:

• Music from Dunchurch Silver Band, Ocho Rios Steel Band, the Sax Man and local choir The Lion’s Chorus.

• Dancing from the Jill Bartlett School of Dance, Evolve Theatre Academy & Knightlow Morris Men.

• A new and improved vintage car and tractor show. Birds of prey, alpacas and pet-a-ferret; as well as displays of woodturnin­g and photograph­y.

• Children can enjoy crafts, pottery, face painting, archery and other activities.

• Numerous gift stalls including: Plant Stall, Chocolate, woodcrafts, hand-made and knitted goods, ceramics and jewellery, Jam and preserves, Rugby Gin and more.

• Food and drink includes hotdogs, samosas, fish and chips, local ice cream,

• Fabulous tea and refreshmen­ts, with lots of home-made cakes.

Admission: £5, and under-16s Go Free. Plenty of FREE parking for all.

Entrance and stalls will accept cash and contactles­s payments.

Daffodil Sunday is generously supported by Rugby Self Store, and

the manager, Josh Swan commented:

Newnham Paddox is the private country estate of the Earl and Countess of Denbigh, which they generously let organisers use for the day.

Daffodil Sunday is hosted by the Friends of the Revel C of E Churches, and ALL money raised goes to support the maintenanc­e of the six church buildings in the Revel.
