PEACE OF RIGA

Poland and Soviet Russia sign a treaty that establishes the Polish-soviet border until the outbreak of WWII. Poland secures its sovereignty for almost two decades, but it sets back Eastern European independence movements in the process. Riga also forces the Soviets to halt the communist revolution in the west.
