Poland and Soviet Russia sign a treaty that establishe­s the Polish-soviet border until the outbreak of WWII. Poland secures its sovereignt­y for almost two decades, but it sets back Eastern European independen­ce movements in the process. Riga also forces the Soviets to halt the communist revolution in the west.
