TURKS DEPLOY SIEGE TOWER

The Ottoman siege battery continues to bombard not only the Tower of St Nicholas, but also a newly constructed timber palisade on the mole. Meanwhile, the Turks construct a giant belfry, which serves as a platform for Ottoman archers to unleash a storm of arrows on Hospitallers defending the north walls of the fortress and the mole enclosing the galley harbour.
