HOSPITALLERS PLUG BREACH IN SOUTH WALL

The Turks try to exploit the breach in the outer wall, but they find that the Hospitallers have constructed a timber bulwark just inside the wall that effectively plugs the breach. The Turks launch repeated assaults in the first half of July, but they fail to break through the makeshift barrier.
